| Abstract : | From the subterranean waters of the spring Benca, tributary of Vjosa River, southern Albania, new species of the family Niphargidae, Niphargus bencaensis, spec. nov. is described and figured, and its taxonomical position regarding some other species from adjacent regions is discussed. Some remarks on Amphipoda settlement are mentioned. |
